On Windows Machines

To install and run the Polarbackup desktop software on a Windows machine, we recommend:

  • At least 512 MB of RAM.
  • Intel Pentium® 4 processor or above, AMD Athlon™ 64.
  • 200 MB of free hard drive space.
  • Windows Windows 7 at least SP1, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2008 R2 at least SP1, Windows Server 2012 and above.
    Only a Business subscriber of Polarbackup can activate it on Windows server platforms.
  • Supports both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms.

 

On macOS Machines

To install and run the Polarbackup application on a macOS machine, we recommend:

  • macOS v 10.11 or later.
  • At least 2 GB of memory
  • At least 150 MB of available storage.
