Administrative Privileges in Polarbackup

Introduction

Every Polarbackup account is required to have at least one administrator user. This user possesses greater managerial privileges compared to standard users within the account.

 

The super administrator of a Polarbackup account holds the authority to elevate standard users to administrator status and regulate their administrative permissions accordingly.

 

Main Administrator Capabilities

Managing Users and Servers: An administrator user can access the Users / Servers page under their Polarbackup web console and utilize all the options that are available there, such as adding users, deleting them, setting storage limits for them, resetting their Polarbackup login passwords, modifying their Polarbackup login emails, activating, suspending, and archiving their backups, etc.

 

Managing Backup Policies: An administrator user can access the Policies page under their Polarbackup web console and utilize all the options that are available there, such as creating, editing, and deleting backup policies.

 

Managing Account Settings: An administrator user can access the Settings page under their Polarbackup web console and utilize all the options that are available there, such as setting data retention rules. (Learn more)

 

Managing Reports: An administrator user can access the Reports page under their Polarbackup web console, utilize all the available reports, and change the report settings. (Learn more)

 

Upgrading Account: An administrator user can access the Upgrade page under their Polarbackup web console and buy more Polarbackup assets (Storage, Users, etc.). (Learn more)
