Presentation Mode with Polarbackup

Introduction

Polarbackup offers a convenient feature called Presentation Mode, which allows users to pause backups while giving presentations, playing games, or watching movies. This ensures your system’s performance remains unaffected by backup processes.

How to Enable/Disable Presentation Mode

Method 1: Using the Polarbackup Desktop Application

1. Open the Polarbackup desktop application.
2. Click on Settings.
3. Select the Resource Optimization option from the left-side menu.
4. Check or uncheck the box beside the Enable Presentation Mode option.
5. Click the Save button.

Method 2: Via the Polarbackup Web Console

1. Sign in to your Polarbackup web console as an admin user.
2. Refer to the Policies page.
3. Create a new policy, or select to edit an existing one.
4. Under the Settings tab, in the General Settings section, check or uncheck the box beside the Enable Presentation Mode option.
5. Click the Save button.
